Must have experience testing within a Data Lake and basic experience with Hadoop

 

Important Skills

Technical – SQL Querying, Familiarity with Big Data and Hadoop, worked with large databases and testing for large databases (data lakes).

 

Soft – EXECELLENT COMMUNICATION SKILLS  (will be doing documentation so need to be able to understand the person), Looking for a Go Getter, Someone Adaptable to Change because they change a lot.     

                               

Interview Process: Phone Screen then WebEx

Must Haves:

·         Testing Experience in a Big Data Environment

·         Familiarity with Big Data and Hadoop

·         SQL Querying

·         Experiencing Writing Test Scripts

·         RTC , this is where they keep defects, stories and features

 

Nice to Haves

·         Automation, currently the team only uses automation part of the time. A lot of the test scripts are complex and can’t be automated

·         Agile Experience, the FDR would like to move to a more agile work stream but are currently using Waterfall.

·         Healthcare Insurance Background

·         Experience with RQM ( IBMs test management tool) which is automated

·         ETL Experience

 

Day to Day:

·         Every morning they have a call with the offshore team to see what they have completed and where to pick up.

·         Working with SMEs

·         Working with Offshore Teams

·         Writing Test Plans

·         Writing Test Scripts

·         Work with Development Team which sits onsite in Hartford
