The Contract Software Developer has responsibility for developing and programming tools/solutions for company software technology platforms.  He/she develops effective, efficient, and reliable software tools during project phases to improve existing/new application and software workflow.

Experience and Education Requirements:

-          Bachelor’s Degree in Science or Engineering

-          Minimum of 5 years’ experience developing software for technical products, experience with full software lifecycle

-          Strong expertise with Visual Studio, Team Foundation Server, Microsoft .NET, C^#, C++, XML, Objected Oriented Design/Development, Windows OS

-          Excellent verbal communication skills and be comfortable presenting technical information .

-          Able to communicate the requirements across different technical and managerial levels at customer sites

Primary Duties and Responsibilities:

-          To create software solutions optimal for application

o   Create appropriate software tools to support software applications and achieve optimal performance and flexibility

o   Design, code, test, debug and document software according to functional requirement

o   Create solutions and programs for company software applications

o   Investigate, troubleshoot, and fix software issues

-          To provide post proposal support

o   Follow up with customer or applications team to address questions and obstacles

o   Reengineer solution as necessary

-      To provide software expertise for necessary project related activities – post sales

o   Ongoing solution development coordination

 

Working Conditions and Special Demands: -          Willing to travel as necessary to support the business objectives -          Ability to write clear and concise technical reports -          Ability to draw out and document customer requirements that form the basis of the contractual scope of work -          Excellent problem solving skills with the ability to work independently from problem statement to solution
