Job Description:

Minimum 6 years of Azure experience and overall 10+ years of infrastructure architecture experience. The candidate should have a strong background in Linux and Windows based Systems, backup and storage administration, infrastructure performance and availability and public cloud environments. The candidate should have very good understanding of the security concepts and enterprise IT compliance requirements.

Linux:

 Good overall understanding of Linux and Windows operating system.

o User Administration.

o Patching.

o Security (IP tables, etc.) & Networking concepts.

 Solid experience in scripting (Python, Bash, etc.).

 Linux certification is required (RHCE or equivalent).                                                        

 Experience with monitoring tools (Zabbix, Nagios, etc).

 

Azure

 Experience in designing, implementing and maintaining all Azure infrastructure and services.

 Design and implement availability, scalability, and performance plans for the Azure managed service environment.

 Continual re-evaluation of existing stack and infrastructure to maintain optimal performance, availability and security.

 Hands-on technical expertise in Azure Security Architecture, automation, integration, and deployment (DevOps).

o Comfort with one or more scripting or dynamic languages (e.g. Python, Shell Scripting) Git/BitBucket source control.

o Working knowledge of at least one configuration management tool, such as Ansible, Chef, and/or Puppet.

 Familiarity with compliance & security standards across the enterprise IT landscape

 Extensive experience with Azure (Azure VM, blob, Vnet, etc.).

 Solid understanding of Azure AD Roles and Policies.

 Experience with automation/configuration management using Docker/Kubernetes, Azure Kubernetes Services (AKS).

 Management Suite (OMS), certificates and SSL management.

 Experience with Azure Resource Templates.

 Great working knowledge of IP networking, VPN's, DNS, and load balancing General understanding of CMS applications, .Net Framework and/or .Net Core Strong desire to learn new technologies.

 Experience with Web Services (SOAP, RESTful, etc.).

 Knowledge of containerization is a plus.

 Azure Solution Architect would be preferred.

 MCSE Certification helpful and SQL Experience and/or certification very helpful.

 

Roles & Responsibilities

 Design, implement and maintain all Azure infrastructure and services within a managed service environment.

 Design, Deploy and maintain enterprise class security, network and systems management applications within an Azure environment.

 Design and implement availability, scalability, and performance plans for the Azure managed service environment.

 Establish and Measure SLA standards.

 Maintain Azure infrastructure and services.

 Deploy applications within Azure environment and drive deployment calls.

 Continual evaluation of existing infrastructure to maintain optimal performance and availability

 Implement high availability, scalability, and performance plans for the Azure managed service environment.

 Implement and Manage the Backup and DR for applications.

 Instance managements and environment expansion.

 Implement and manage security policies (thru trusted advisor).

 Patch Management.

 Identify potential issues on a given application deployment.

 Monthly SLA Reports and Quarterly Reviews.                                                                                                                             

 Continuous evaluation of new tools and technologies.

 Implement process and quality improvements through task automation.

 Institute infrastructure as code, security automation and automation or routine maintenance tasks.

 Support the business development lifecycle (Business Development, Capture, Solution Architect, Pricing and Proposal Development).

 Manage the Azure Offshore Team.

 Be able to take complete ownership during outages and disaster and triage calls between various teams with minimum supervision.

 Must be able to work/co-ordinate with different teams effectively.

 Conduct internal and external communications with an elevated level of interpersonal and negotiation skills.
