The mobile domain is looking to add a Senior Software Engineer to join our growing team of cross platform mobile developers. Currently we are requiring candidates to have React Native skills but we’re hoping to have candidates who have experience in both native and cross-platform development with an appetite for developing and driving cross platform solutions.
This developer should be self-sufficient with the ability and experience to own and implement application features using the React Native framework. This individual would be responsible for planning and managing feature development while adhering to application requirements and project processes.
The ATS project that this engineer will be resourced to immediately requires client management experience and the ability to work well within a full project team. The ideal candidate will aspire to lead the product / feature development while completing development tasks assigned. Candidates should be able to provide specific guidance on the selection of both application development technologies as well as production environment requirements.

Technical Skills:
Required:
- 1+ years experience with React Native developing applications for release on both the iOS and Android platforms
- 3+ years of development experience in a professional setting in mobile and / or cross platform development.
- Javascript or Typescript experience
- Solid mobile / cross platform architectural ability - has built complex applications from the ground, or has taken ownership of a larger existing application and extended it.
- Should have experience integrating a mobile application into an existing dev ops environment (e.g. CI/CD)
- Solid understanding of the current React Native libraries / frameworks / plug-ins that are considered best practices
Preferred:
- 2+ years React web experience
- Accessibility and Testing experience in React Native and other cross platform frameworks
- Experience standing up a new cross plaent project

Leadership skill needs:
- Should be comfortable explaining technical decisions to non technical stakeholders
- Should have experience identifying pain-points in processes and owning refinement of processes to completion.
- Should have experiencing solving common technical problems outside of the scope of a single project or program
Level of communication with Client:
- The candidate should be comfortable interacting with the client, including light management of the client, conducting technical demos, and close-knit collaboration with technical stakeholders from the client.
- Previous customer service experience is a plus
- Proven ability to clearly communicate risk, complexity, and timeline impacts of newly added product features or scope
Level of communication with Client:
- Daily: 100% client partnership, standups, sprint planning, emails, IM’s
Any specific soft skills?
- Ability to closely collaborate with UX designers, Back-End engineers, and QA Engineers to arrive at effective and fluid solutions to mobile problems
- Strong understanding of common issues that arise during the development lifecycle and has experience mitigating risks for technical teams (e.g. dependencies on other teams, compliance issues, technical limitations of other parts of the system, managing build vs. buy at the library/component level)
- Growth mindset - individual is actively looking to better their skills in either a targeted (e.g. specific technology/domain specific growth goals) or general (looking to become a better technologist overall)
- Cross Platform Development mindset - the individual should be focused on Cross Platform Development as their primary domain. Experience with Back-End and cloud technologies, UX/XD experience, or other tangentially related skills are absolutely not discouraged as long as the individual is focused primarily on Cross Platform Development
- Experience working in and refining an Agile process for a team
