Description: The emulation system engineer will work on pre-silicon HW/FW end to end feature enablement, validation and debug for the next generation of AMD’s flagship server CPU products. The individual will develop and execute the pre-silicon strategy for server SoC emulation programs. The emulation system engineer will be responsible for driving Shift-Left process improvements working with HW System Engineering teams and other stakeholders (System Architects, IP, SOC, FW, SW).
• Responsible for the design and development of test environment components to support the pre-silicon validation of embedded firmware, BIOS code features, SW and directed tests.
• Responsible for writing directed tests to verify features in emulated hardware environment.
• Responsible for writing monitors and checkers to support end-to-end firmware/hardware validation.
• Work closely with design, architecture, BIOS, driver and validation teams to ensure readiness of silicon features for silicon bring-up.
• Responsible for writing and developing coverage goals and test plans.
• Responsible for running emulator workloads to test new features.
2 Job Title: SoC Verification
Location: Austin,TX
Onsite Position
A truly multidisciplinary function, working in close collaboration with the front-end designers and physical designers on the various SOC verification efforts, interacting with a wide variety of internal and external design verification development teams, Design Verification methodology, and Silicon IP and tool vendors. Work with architects, and the design and Design Verification team to define develop test plan and execute system verification plan from power management, system features e.g. power management, DFT Design Verification, interoperability, multi-engine Security, Coherency, etc.
MAIN REQUIREMENTS:
• Bachelor or Masters Degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering or Computer Science.
• Strong knowledge of OO programming languages such as C++
