Role: ETL Tester

Location: Fortwayne, IN

Duration: 6 months

Visa Type: GC, US Citizen or EAD(No OPT’s)

 

5+ years' experience in Quality Assurance testing with a focus in ETL Testing

Experience in Agile methodology

Extensive knowledge of data warehousing (EDW) concepts, like slowly changing dimensions (SCD), relational / dimensional data modeling techniques

Proficiency with Microsoft SQL Server Studio 16 & Oracle 11g

Ability to evaluate the "testability" of requirements and suggest the changes / additional information needed in requirements to project team

Ability to determine the types of testing that must be conducted (i.e., data validation, regression, etc.) and create a comprehensive test cases that supports the business and technical solutions being delivered

Ability to coordinate test execution across multiple teams

Ability to analyze testing results to ensure accuracy when compared to requirements and to determine potential errors when expected and actual testing results not align

Experience in defect management

Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel for the purpose of creating test grids and using formulas to compare test results

Experience in tuning SQL queries with reference to mapping changes in the requirements

Quick learner and Collaboration skills

Experience in understanding the product, performing data analysis, and developing test scenario

 

We are looking for candidates with

·       Bachelor’s degree in technology-related field or equivalent

·       Minimum of 5+ years of software quality assurance and testing experience

·       Working knowledge on following tools

·         Informatica full stack; PowerCenter (ETL), Master Data Management, IDQ, Axon (in order of priority)

·         Business Objects: Data Services (ETL), Webi (reporting)

·         Alteryx designer tool

·       Good understanding of Databases (relational and non-relational)

·       Experience in ETL and Data, frameworks, processes, strategies, and approaches

• Strong experience in Database/Backend Testing by writing complex SQL Queries for data validation and integrity, good at writing complex Joins

·       Experience in the Property & Casualty insurance industry preferred

·       Extensive experience with test script design, test automation & regression testing

·       Experience with ETL test automation will be a plus

·       Excellent written and verbal communication and presentation skills

·       Excellent Analysis, Problem Solving and Time management skills

·       Demonstrated advanced QA related data analysis and correlation skills

·       Exposure to one or more development platforms (.Net, C#, Java, Python)
