Position : Jboss Admin
Location : Reston,VA
Duration : 12 months
JD :
IT Engineer II plans and executes software engineering development projects, utilizing software and infrastructure engineering principles. Providing engineering, level 3 support, and assist application development teams for Fannie Mae’s application server (JBoss, TomCat, and WebLogic) and web server environment
Responsible for engineering, documentation, and testing of installation of standard installs/patches, custom tools, as well as implementing changes, solving problems that arise and planning and implementing engineering projects assigned by management.
Engineer will also be responsible for level three support which involves troubleshooting of difficult or complex performance or functional issues for Fannie Mae’s application server Infrastructure. As well as the documentation of standard operation of systems, installation, patch and testing done to ensure continued smooth production.
SPECIALIZED KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS (Required)
5+ years of experience with Java environments
Experience with troubleshooting issues; Developing and maintaining automation tools.
Knowledge and experience with shell script languages such as Korn Shell, Bourne Shell, C Shell, and Perl.
Knowledge of high Availability and DR Architecture.
SPECIALIZED KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS (Desired)
Hands-on experience with Java, J2EE, JDBC, SQL, XML, JSP.
Excellent understanding and experience with RedHat JBoss, or equivalent Application server technology.
Architect experience, Analytical thinking and troubleshooting skills.
JVM tuning and optimization.
Strong Java/J2EE design, development, and administration skills
Infrastructure based experience to be able to recommend designs & solutions
Basic understanding of network infrastructure devices (switches, routers, load balancers); Identity and access management systems (LDAP, CA Siteminder, Oracle Access Manager) is a plus.
