Job Description:
PRIMARY
PURPOSE OF POSITION
Performs and/or manages activities relating to planning, designing, building,
and maintaining IT services, projects, portfolios, products and processes.
Creates and assigns detailed tasks to subordinates. Has budget responsibility
for a small project, sub-project or process component. Expected to work under
minimal supervision.
PRIMARY DUTIES AND ACCOUNTABILITIES
- Perform, manage and appropriately document work activities relating to IT service portfolios or products in support of our business partners. Lead IT activities required to manage service level agreements. Assist others in planning and prioritizing work and work schedule.
- Assist in creation of documentation for products and services. Use best practices to improve products and services provided to business unit partners, and monitor adherence within Team/Group to standards as defined within the Management Model
- Maintain and enhance engagement with business and IT partners and other stakeholders
- Establish positive team environment by proactively assisting and training less experienced personnel. Provide performance and development feedback as required
- Maintain technical knowledge and business acumen within own discipline or function
POSITION SCOPE
- Engage with business partners to gather information, analyze requirements and deliver practical, efficient and cost-effective solutions that satisfy business needs. Writes product specifications and design documentation for assigned system components. (25%)
- Design, develop and/or review complex code to ensure solutions meet the requirements of functional and technical specifications. Develop and/or review project technical architecture design and development. Solutions may include but are not limited to the development of various types of applications, web, mobile app, full stack or integrations hosted on premises data centers or in the cloud. Develop automated Unit tests and/or automated UI tests. (20%)
- Lead team and provide oversight for less experienced team. Using error reports, establish priorities and assign out bugs to relevant team members for resolution. (25%)
- Actively engage with Manager on progress, status, and issues pertaining to assigned deliverables. Ensure all risks and issues that affect the scope of work are captured following set process and are actioned appropriately. (10%)
- Enhance knowledge of and compliance with preferred technologies, methodologies, standards and policies. Stay on top of latest technologies & trends. Maintain technical knowledge and business acumen within own discipline or function. Strong debugging and problem-solving skills; lead peer code reviews. (10%)
- Assist in the development of white papers, presentations, or knowledge sharing for new and recommended solutions. Ideate, design, and develop process and technology improvements such as process or test automations. (10%)
