Job Title : C++ Developer with MMIS Experience
Location : Topeka, KS
Duration : 1+Year Contract

Description:
Researches, designs, develops, configures, integrates, tests and maintains existing and new business applications and/or information systems solutions including databases through integration of technical and business requirements. Applications solutions include both 3rd party software and internally developed applications. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, analysis of business requirements, coding of modifications or new programs, creation of documentation, testing and maintenance of applications and information systems. Works within the Information Technology function, obtaining resources and working in support of objectives and strategies. Provides required documentation and participates in architecture reviews to ensure that the solutions comply with standards and use approved technologies.

Education: Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience. Experience: 8 to 10 years.
Prior experience working with MMIS or other healthcare systems required.
Solid understanding of the System Development Life-Cycle (SDLC).
Eight (8) years’ or more experience of designing, architecting, engineering and delivering implementations of medium to large applications.
8 or more years of experience writing code using C and C++.
8 or more years of experience with the following application developer tools: C, UNIX (HPUX, AIX, Linux, Solaris).
Solid understanding of SQL RDBMS and SQL Batch.
Knowledge of configuration and release management processes, preferably within HP EDGE framework.
Typically a technical Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience and a minimum of 8 years of related experience or a Master’s degree and a minimum of 8 years of experience.
Knowledge of Modern Source Code Management Tools (VCTL/SCCS) (e.g. Network Protocols (SSH, SFTP), File Transfers (Filezilla), Terminal Emulation (Putty, Teraterm), Job Scheduling (AutoSys), DBMS databases (SQL Server & Oracle)) is preferred.
Understanding of testing tools.
Experience with CMS, Medicaid, Federal and State Healthcare Government, or healthcare subject matter expertise would be a plus.
