Job Description:

 

The DevOps Lead/Engineer should be proficient in managing Azure DevOps build and release agents and pipelines. They will be responsible for defining the build and release strategy and collaborate with developers, architects to create and maintain optimal release and deployment plans.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES/ACCOUNTABILITIES  

·         Working on ways to automate and improve build and release processes

·         Building and setting up new development tools and infrastructure

·         Defining and setting development, test, release, update, and support processes for DevOps operation

·         Encouraging and building automated processes wherever possible

·         Working with software developers and software engineers to ensure that development follows established processes and works as intended

·         Mentoring and guiding the team members

ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS/REQUIREMENTS 

·         Bachelors or Masters degree in Computer Science or Engineering with software experience or education. 

·         8+ years of relevant software development experience. 

·         Core competencies in technologies: 

• CI / CD Pipeline on Azure platform / Azure DevOps Pipelines
• Docker Containers – Build / Ship / Run
• AKS clusters / Load balancer
• Build server / agent for .Net and Angular.
• Ngnix config
• DB scripts execution (primarily SQL – secondary MongoDB)
• Python Script to customize release and build pipeline
• Branching and version control
• Terraform
• SonarQube Integration with Azure DevOps Pipeline
• Competencies Nice to Have
• Azure Function apps
• QP Express ( Schlumberger DevSecOps pipeline)
• Dynatrace (Good to know)
• Saltstack(Good to know)
• Elastic Search (Good to know)
• Multi-region deployments, content management, data replication
• Secure network architecture (segmentation, VPNs, hybrid)
• Apigee

·         Experience with public clouds such as Azure

·         Excellent communication, leadership, time management and organization skills
