Position: IIBM Tivoli Consultant

Location: Jersey City, NJ

Duration:  Long Term

job description:

·  Installation and configuration of complex Smart Cloud APM/ITM based enterprise monitoring infrastructures on Windows and Distributed platforms

·  To understand detailed customer requirements and create solution deployment plans based on the requirements

·  To be a thought leader and provide high quality deliverables

·  To initiate new projects by analysing, planning and estimating based on client needs

·  To work closely with the Project Manager of a given project

·  To help identify and define enhancements to the monitoring methodology and provide best practices

·  To understand the importance of personal utilization levels

·  BM SmartCloud APM and Tivoli Monitoring Installation and Configuration on Windows and Distributed Platforms

·  Knowledge of WebSphere Application Server 8 and 8.5, WebSphere MQ, Message Broker/Integration Bus and other middleware components

·  Strong Unix and Windows administration skills

·  experience for agent builder.

·  Strong problem determination, root cause identification, and problem resolution skills

·  Installation and configuration of DB2 on Windows and Distributed Platforms

·  Installation and configuration of Jazz for Service Management and Tivoli Common Reporting server components

·  Understanding of event integration capabilities

·  Basic understanding of WebSphere MQ, IBM Integration Bus and WebSphere DataPower

·  Basic knowledge of security frameworks (SSL, Data encryption, GS Kit)

·  Experience in creating and customizing Tivoli Enterprise Portal (TEP) Views, Workspaces, Queries, Situations and Workflows

·  Experience in mentoring of Administrative and User staff on Tivoli products

·  Knowledge of a variety of ITCAM products and agents, for Resource, DeepDive, Service and Transaction Monitoring

·  Experience writing installation/configuration and Operations Guides and user documentation

Preferred Qualifications

·  Understanding of IBM APM SaaS offerings

·  Oracle or SQL Server

·  Custom agent creation using Tivoli Agent Builder or Universal Agent

·  Rational Performance Tester and Robot products

·  Tivoli Certified Deployment Professional Certification on multiple ITM/ITCAM products

·  Knowledge of JBoss, Tomcat and Oracle WebLogic Application Servers

·  Knowledge of Application Server and MQ performance tuning
