Location: Broadway, NY

Duration: 4-5 Months

Interview: 1^st Phone and 2^nd Face to Face
 

JOB DESCRIPTION:

·         Client Procurement is requesting a consultant resource to Manage cost reduction including collecting data from vendors and disseminating data to agencies and Management.

·         Manage cost reduction project, including collecting data from vendors and disseminating data to agencies and Management.

·         Develop data tracking format and negotiation summaries, develop and provide weekly reports and manage email box of vendor submissions.

·         Supervise the tracking of data by analysts and review their negotiation summaries, as necessary.

·         Conduct weekly status meetings and reporting

·         Familiarization with Public Procurement Processes a plus

 

RESPONSIBILITIES

This section defines the scope and approach of work for the professional service in accomplishing the tasks and project goals and requirements. This scope will be used as a basis for all project goals and requirements.

 

Services

·         Managing and controlling the personnel and projects required to successfully implement and maintain computer systems.

·         Directs scheduling, technical direction, planning and standard development practices groups.

·         Develops and meets project schedules to ensure timely completion.

·         Other tasks include: perform hardware/software evaluation: analyze and recommend appropriate strategies; perform administrative functions: adhere to an established System Development Methodologies (SDM); familiarization with software engineering tools and techniques (Microsoft Project, Primavera, etc.).

 

QUALIFICATIONS

Required skills and experience in one or several of the following areas:

·         PMP certification is desirable.

·         Sound understanding of technical issues, outstanding planning, scheduling, implementation,

·         And evaluation skills.

·         Excellent ability to communicate verbally and in writing with the user community and the technical staff is essential.
