Job Description:
Primary Responsibilities
· Daily health checks of responsible IT environment nodes and tools.
· Maintain applications/tools on a supported software levels based on I-LCM plan.
· Install, configure, secure, maintain, patch, and back up Linux/Windows servers
· Script (shell, Python, SPL, Ansible) development for task automation and data processing
· Ensures environment is stable and in compliance with Ericsson corporate security policy.
· Participate in projects when there is demand
· Process requests from the customer (external and internal) via trouble ticketing system
· Track all incidents and requests to successful conclusion
· Participate in customer troubleshooting calls and produce RCA (Root Cause Analysis) in case of security and operational incidents
Requirements
· BS/MS in Computer Science or Engineering, Information Systems, or equivalent.
· Minimum 3 to 5 years of Hands-on experience with Linux/UNIX (RHEL6/7 or equivalent, Solaris 10) system administration, and VMWare ESXi/vCenter.
· Strong scripting knowledge
· Experience with Microsoft Windows Server (2008R2, 2012R2) system administration using various server roles (Domain Controllers, NPS, RDS, etc.) a plus.
· 3-6 years’ experience in supporting production environment.
· Hands-on experience with Enterprise backup solutions (e.g. Netbackup).
· Experience with Enterprise fault and performance Monitoring tools (e.g. Nagios, Netcool, SolarWinds) a plus
· Knowledge and experience with SQL databases (e.g. Oracle, MySQL, MS SQL Server) a plus
· Hands-on experience with Enterprise/datacenter server and storage hardware (e.g. Oracle, HP, Dell, EMC) a plus
· RHEL and/or VMWare certification a strong plus.
· Ability to clearly relay technical knowledge to both technical and non-technical people, written and verbally
· Demonstrate the ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
· Experience in information gathering, planning, and execution of large and complex IT/security projects in an enterprise-level environment
· Strong knowledge of TCP/IP and security protocols such as HTTP(S), networking protocols and understanding of security related technologies including encryption, IPsec, DES, SMTP, SSH, proxy services, DNS, electronic mail and access-lists
