V-Soft Consulting is currently hiring for a Windows Administrator for our premier client in Louisville, KY. This is a 1-year contract position in the manufacturing industry.
WHAT YOU’LL NEED:
Technical Requirements and Certifications »
- High level of expertise in VMware, Citrix, Virtualization, Windows, TCP/IP networking and general network troubleshooting
- DHCP, builds, file permissions, printers, OIB, Windows servers and local storage, including OIB storage, etc.
Education and Experience »
- Minimum 3 years of Windows system administration experience
- Experience with cloud and virtual computing technologies
- Experience with VMware and patching
- Experience with Avamar, Data Protector and virtual tape backups
- Experience in an environment with rigorous change control processes
- Amazon Web Services (AWS) experience is a plus

- Technical support, troubleshooting and problem solving skills
- Skilled in facilitating meetings, resolving conflicts, and motivating an influencing others
- Solid verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills
- A knack for writing and presenting

WHAT YOU’LL DO:
Job Responsibilities »
- Provide 2nd Level support of Wintel incidents for sites and businesses supported by our client
- Provide 2nd Level after-hours on-call support as required
- Resolve or escalate incidents as needed to Level 3 Wintel support
- Perform system administration of Windows servers
- Maintain/repair Windows server issues and related system issues as needed to maintain a stable, predictable and scalable server environment
- Work with vendors and internal groups, and enhance and patch server systems
- Lead and assist in system projects - build, QC and deploy servers per customer build process
- Perform antivirus support duties
- Manage the team’s day-to-day operations, productivity and professional conduct
- Liaison with our client’s managers, leadership and business stakeholders to ensure engagement and satisfaction
- Mentor the team and enable higher engagement and service level
