Role : Backup and Recovery Engineer
Location :Jersey City, NJ
Client: TCS/DTCC
Duration: Long term
Description:
Experience managing and supporting backup and recovery Tools software in a large environment
Experience in IT operations implementing and supporting web and middleware solutions in a datacenter environment
Experience dedicated to disaster recovery operations and management
Must have an understanding of current recovery solutions, high availability architectures, and datacenter design
Programming (shell or windows)
Pseudocoding and algorithms
Depth in skills with a variety of hardware and software stacks
Strong understanding of network protocols like IP, TCP, DNS, DHCP, NTP, SSL, HTTP
Familiarity with business continuity program life cycle plans and source deliverables (e.g., risk assessments, bias, continuity planning)
Demonstrated ability to prioritize and organize projects, determine and meet deadlines, and proactively communicate with others in a clear and concise manner.
Knowledge of standard security practices and procedures for server and network configurations.
Demonstrated ability to create technical documentation that is clearly written, well organized, well structured, and accurate.
