Location: Rancho Cucamonga, LA, OR local to CA
Duration: 12+months ( we have multiple openings)
JOB DESCRIPTION:
The client is looking for strong hands-on platform engineers with Azure knowledge and experience to code for the platform (python, understand well helm and terraform) and related DevOps pipelines.
Candidates with strong scripting skills, and working knowledge of Kubernetes, who act as owners and can coordinate their work with others have an advantage.
Required skills:
Strong practical delivery knowledge of public cloud services and resources (Azure, AKS preferred, helm, terraform).
Strong practical delivery and administration knowledge of the Kubernetes platform and its eco-system - service mesh (Istio preferred), network policy tool (Calico preferred), cross-cluster management tools, Kubernetes policies, etc.
Strong scripting skills with experience in integrating with platform and tool APIs using Python, and shell scripting.
Experience with automating and integrating serverless PaaS solutions such as AKS.
Good understanding of secret management for Kubernetes.
Ability to troubleshoot Azure cloud services, resource groups, AKS, DNS, Azure connectivity, NSG, routing
Good understanding of communication layers between systems and network controls (including firewalls, load-balancers, proxies, and API gateways)
Good understanding of deployments for various cloud resource types via CI/CD pipelines
Proficiency in cloud automation using native Azure CL
Solid experience with configuring and maintaining resources on Azure
Experience with the majority of Azure Virtual Machines, Scale Sets, Container Registry, Database, DNS, VPN, Firewall, Load Balancer, and Active Directory.
Experience with and a strong understanding of secret management along with the practice of good security hygiene
Expertise with cloud security, understand the principle of least privilege
Hands-on experience using Docker
Experience and solid understanding to deploy and maintain container orchestration platforms such as Azure Container Instances or Kubernetes
Expertise with infrastructure-as-code, such as Terraform or Azure ARM/BluePrintsDeep, hands-on experience with Linux and Windows
Expertise with production deployments, and CI/CD tools such as Jenkins
Expertise in managing users, roles, and privileges through AD
Expertise with provisioning tools, such as Ansible
Must live in the United States and be able to obtain a Public Trust Clearance.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Experienced with Kubernetes
Knowledge of networking fundamentals
Experience with and a strong understanding of secret management along with the practice of good security hygiene
Expertise with cloud security, understand the principle of least privilege
