Job Title: AS400 Developer
Location: Roanoke, VA
Duration : 6 Months
Job Description:
5 years of design, development, and support experience on AS/400 technologies (DB2/400, CLP & CL/400, RPG & RPGLE, UC4)
• Query/400Experience with ILE Advanced concepts (Procedures, Service programs, Functions, Free RPG coding syntax)
• Experience with complex SQL concepts and programming Experience with FTP concepts and automation
• Experience in creating, building and maintaining different libraries in AS/400 environment
• Excellent understanding of Database, DDS, sub-files, RPG III or later & RPGLE programming concepts
• Excellent understanding of CL & OS/400 commands. CL and CLLE Programming skills for automation
• In-depth knowledge on SQL/400 and other AS/400 utilities
• Develop / modify functionality within an established application framework – Individually
• Develop unit test plans and conduct unit test as per test plans
• Provide estimates for completion of Developer Technical Design Documents
• Hands-on experience working within an enterprise wide datacenter environment is desired
• Any experience in Web services or Application Integration or Modernization area on AS/400 would be an added advantage
• Client facing skills/experience a plus
• Development experience in all phases of SDLC, especially in the areas of complex solution design & trouble shooting.
