Role: Python Developer with R Programming
Location: Deerfield, IL
Duration: 6+ Months
Summary:
1). Participate on a small team of developers working on a product rationalization analysis for the
Business Transformation Office.
2).Focus of role will be to collect, transform, and analyze data related to products and make
optimization recommendations.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Develop Python and R code to apply to collected data to implement business transformation rules to the data to enable analysis of theories to occur.
The incumbent will perform the following duties:
1). Write/modify python and R code to implement business rules transformation to underlying data;
develop data pulls for analysis, assist with visualizations of data for analysis and presentation
preparation.
2). Demonstrate basic business knowledge by translating business rules into coded solution, resolve
complex problems, receive moderate direction, provide no direction to others and possess
working knowledge of Python, R, PL/SQL.
3). Code, test, debug, and document Python and R programming
4). Develop code and test code prior to business involvement in reviewing data.
5). Develop relationships with businesses and functions to understand their business rule.
6). Continue to optimization process by responding to data requests, resolving user questions and
resolving data issues.
Qualifications:
1). 12-18 minimum months of Python coding in a business setting (not pure educational).
2). Statistical methodologies for allocation of higher level data to lower level grain.
3). Exposure to R.
4). Ability to use Python and R for data preparation and predictive use.
5). Understanding of database concepts and PL/SQL. Skills with visualization software like Cognos or
Tableau a plus.
6). Solid written and verbal skills.
