Job Description:
§ Identifying, managing, and implementing network optimization projects, from inception to implementation
§ Analyse RF site survey results
§ Defining requirements for vendors for Wi-Fi features and developing tests plans and test cases to validate proposed requirements
§ Defining architecture and solutions for Wi-Fi new features
§ Work with data science team to analyze the datasets/results and help to find business insights and use cases
§ Advance troubleshooting skills to identify root causes of RF and wireless issues
§ Work with vendors to provide adequate support for resolution of bugs
§ Be able to understand new wireless standards, test, validate and implement them on the network
§ Keep up to date on new industry standards, tools and practices
Experience Must:
§ Expert Level understanding of 802.11 networks and protocols 802.11n/ac/ax
§ Expert level understanding of 802.11 MAC, QoS and RF characteristics
§ Hands on experience in Wi-Fi network optimization for high density outdoor, stadiums or enterprise environments.
§ Understanding of latest Wi-Fi technologies WiF6E, WiFi7 and aware of Wi-Fi industry standards and associations like WBA and WFA.
§ Ability to understand and optimize network for convergence of Wireless Wi-Fi and 5G
§ Hands on experience with Cisco, Ruckus controllers or Cisco Meraki APs
§ In-depth understanding of Spectrum and packet capture/analysis
§ Experience in site survey tools like AirMagnet or Ekahau
§ Expert in defining WiFi network health/performance monitoring and KPIs and their use cases
§ Basic understanding of TCP/IP protocols and IP networking
§ Basic understanding of 802.1x security
§ Experience with broadband product including CPE RDKB devices, DOCSIS, Cable Modem standards etc.
§ Experience designing and implementing WLAN, wireless networks, and RF Link
§ Ability to follow a project outline and meet deadlines.
§ Quick learner with the ability to work with very little oversight beyond high-level direction
§ Strong communication skills and customer-focused mindset
Education Level :
§ Bachelor’s degree or higher in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science or equivalent

Job Description:
As part of Comcast 5G Core Architecture & Design Team, the Core A&D SME will join the team of passionate engineers with start-up spirit to test, deploy and debug Comcast’s standalone 5G network. The candidate should bring innovation and strong execution skills to help architect, deploy & implement Comcast’s Mobile Data Networks.
Primary responsibilities fall into the following categories:
5G Core SME- (Access Management, Policy & Charging) will be responsible for the introduction, solutioning, building high and low level designs, and identifying all related parameters, timers and configurations of:
§ Unified Data Repository (UDR);
§ Policy Control Function (PCF);
§ Charging Function (CHF).
§ Network Provisioning Gateway.
§ Session Management Function (SMF)
§ User Plane Function (UPF)
§ Access and Mobility Management (AMF)
that build the Policy & Charging setups inside the 5G core.
§ The 5G Core SME-( Access Management, Policy & Charging) will be also responsible for building the test cases procedures and objectives and overseeing the testing and validation of new software releases of the related core applications at both a component-level and from an end-to-end perspective, and collaborating with the centralized Operations to drive the First Office Applications (FOAs) in the production network. And able to prepare 5G Core test strategy, test plan and test execution of new network uses cases.
§ Engages with vendor personnel regarding new services and features as well as upgrades.
§ Ensures that solutions adhere to defined standards and best practices and/or assist in the development of these standards and best practices.
§ Routinely researches, analyzes, tests, retests, and troubleshoots complex problems.
§ Participates in knowledge transfer, documentation and information sharing while staying abreast of new technology/technical areas.
A successful 5G Core SME-( Access Management, Policy & Charging) will have the following:
§ Expertise with 3GPP and other relevant standards for mobile networks
§ Expert knowledge in 5G Policy & Charging related technologies, platforms and procedures.
§ Expert knowledge in provisioning solutions.
§ Expert knowledge in 5G Core SA Architecture, and SBA architecture.
§ Expert knowledge in Control Plane systems: Geo redundancy, availability, resiliency.
§ Core network protocols used for 5G Core and EPC Network.
§ Expert knowledge in Gx, Gy, PCC, PCF, CHF, AMF, Charging and polices rules.
§ Plan and build test lab environments for functionality and performance testing.
§ Offline / Online Charging architectures.
§ AAA, RADIUS, Diameter, EAP-AKA, 5G-AKA, LTE, 5G.
§ Exposure to commercial test simulators and test systems such as Spirent, Aeroflex, Tektronix
§ Strong knowledge of Wireshark or other IP protocol analyser
§ Good IP knowledge and routing protocol, IPv4, IPv6, Dual-Stack, TCP/IP, UDP, VLAN, IPSec, NAT, IP forwarding
§ Good Knowledge in cloud native principles, virtualization, containerization, orchestration, Kubernetes, Openstack is a great plus
§ Knowledge in Nokia AMF, PCF, CHF, SMF, UPF, SDL or Flow-One elements is a great plus.
