Job Requirement

·         Client is seeking to augment the existing quality assurance staff with senior systems Performance Test Engineer experienced with validation of service oriented architecture solutions.  The performance test engineer will need to balance the effort required to validate mission critical internal application, a customer facing web application, a call center application, batch processing and the integration of the total system.

·         This position will join the Quality Assurance team as 1 of 2 dedicated performance testers 

·         Major Responsibilities:

·         Review program design use cases , confer with business on actual production usage scenarios

·         Analyze production metrics and  develop performance test scripts needed to emulate the production user experience

·         Review proposed  system enhancements /new feature functionality and  create new or update existing performance test assets

·         Provide  realistic   estimates for performance test activities

·         Execute performance tests , prepare and analyze test results

·         Work with Development and Architect teams on identification and troubleshooting performance related issues  

·         Participate in and validate performance optimizations

·         Maintain and archive performance  test assets

·         Knowledge transfer to   QA Team members   

 

Experience Required:

·         Load Runner Performance test tool experience  preference to v 12.5

·         Support tools such as HP Diagnostics  and Site Scope

·         Strong analytical, communication and documentation skills

·         Experience with creating performance summary reports for both technical and layperson audiences

 

Experience Desired:

·         Master of Computer Science Degree

·         5- years’ experience  Load Runner Testing Tools

·         Experience with RATIONAL  software development lifecycle (SDLC) tool sets

·         Team Concert, Quality Manager

 

Skills Needed:

·         Ability to assess  construction plans for risk identification  and scoping validation effort

·         Excellent interpersonal skills necessary to interact effectively with architects, developers, business analysts and quality assurance test tam

·         Demonstrated flexibility to meet timelines generally associated with performance  test schedules ( including off hours)

·         Organizational skills needed to maintain, archive and retrieve test assets efficiently

·         Highly analytical, needs to independently analyze test results and be confident with recommendations
