Senior software developer, to work within a team environment to develop, test and maintain server-side code for web-based applications. Must be able to take direction from both other team members as well as development managers and also be able to work independently as needed. Must have demonstrable competency in all phases of applications development: programming, unit testing, integration testing and supporting released software.
Job Responsibilities
- Work well in a team, taking direction from other team members as well as the team leader or group manager.
- Responsible for application development for new systems and system enhancements.
- Work from prototypes, data models and specification walk-throughs to create business applications.
- Must be able to perform unit testing and integration testing of all developed components.
- Must possess excellent communication skills (written, verbal and interpersonal)
Required Skills
This position requires a Bachelor's degree (B. A. or B.S.) from four-year
College or university in related field or equivalent experience (4-6 years of
progressive job-related work experience). A minimum of 4 years previous
job-related experience in at least one of the following areas is
required:
Server-side development technologies:
Advanced knowledge of Oracle/PLSQL with emphasis on stored procedures
Advanced knowledge of Java/J2EE, Java, JSP, JDBC, Spring, Hibernate
Knowledge of Struts,
EJB, JDO
Java Collection Framework
BEA Weblogic application server experience
Experience
Must have 5-7 years experience with the responsibilities and skills described.
