Job Title : Cloud DBA
Location : NYC, NY
Duration : 3+Months Contract (Possible Extension)

Description:
Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Computer Science or related technical discipline (e.g., Mathematics, Statistics) or equivalent experience
3+ years of professional experience in Cloud based RDBMS in an analytics role preferably at a health plan, hospital system
Thorough knowledge of RDBMS tools (e.g., MS SQL Server, IBM DB2, Oracle, MySQL)
Extensive experience of designing schemas for OLTP & OLAP databases
Advanced knowledge of data integration and workflow applications (e.g., SQL Server Integration Services, Oracle Data Integrator, Informatica Power Center)
Advanced knowledge of database reporting and analytical tools (e.g., SQL Server Reporting Services or Analysis Services)
Excellent SQL development and tuning skills to generate complex queries
Strong scripting skills for development of automated process (e.g., PowerShell, Python)
Experience with infrastructure components including operating system, storage, network, hardware, virtual machines

Preferred qualifications
Ability to simultaneously be both detail oriented and big picture in an unstructured environment
Collaborative working style with the ability to work across different matrixed teams
Exceptional ability to effectively communicate with technical and business colleagues and make complex ideas understood
Strong creative problem solving skills
Demonstrated ability to make decisions based on accurate and timely analyses
Desire to maintain knowledge of new RDBMS technologies and products
Willingness to mentor colleagues on database development, management, and optimization to improve overall effectiveness and efficiency
