Senior Security infrastructure Consultant – Tanium

Location: Remote

Duration: 1 year

Job Description:

• As Senior Security Consultant, candidate will deliver consulting project activities, ranging from client identification through final invoicing through medium to long term engagements requiring varied interpersonal and technical skills.
• Candidate's technical responsibilities include problem identification, system architecture definition, hardware or software specification and/or design, implementation, testing, client training, and solution deployment.
• Performance is evaluated based on billable hours and contractual deliverables.
• Viewed by customers as a subject matter expert, candidate's performance is measured by delivery of agreed solutions within budgeted hours.
• Works on problems of complex scope where analysis of situations or data requires a review of a variety of factors.
• Exercises judgment within defined procedures and practices to determine appropriate action.

 

Essential Functions:

• 3 plus years’ experience with Installing, implementing, and configuring Tanium Core.
• Experience creating custom Tanium dashboards, sensors and packages.
• Hands on Experience designing and customizing Tanium Modules such as Asset, Deploy, Discovery, Map, Patch, Performance, Comply, Integrity Monitor, Enforce, Reveal, Threat for customer business requirements.
• Design, Recommend and make architecture design decisions based on customer input, business, security and compliance requirements on behalf of customer.
• 8 to 10 years’ experience with Windows and/or Linux administration.
• Develop documentation for Operational teams based on security best practices.
• 3 plus years of Scripting experience with VBScript, WMI, PowerShell, Shell Scripts, Python.
• Document (textual and graphical as appropriate), communicate, recommend and take appropriate action to resolve, risks and issues associated with security vulnerabilities across the Customer IT Environment.
• Work with minimal supervision as an individual contributor and as part of a team.

 

Required Skills:

• 10 or more years of technical experience required, including at least 5 years in security services.

 

3 to 5 years of hands-on experience in the following technologies:

• Tanium Core
• Strong analytical skills required

 

Must have excellent written and verbal communication skills and be able to:

• Read, analyze, and interpret common scientific and technical journals
• Document procedures that conform to a prescribed style and format
• Present information to management, public groups, and/or boards of directors.

 

Preferred Skills:

• Previous consulting experience within a Professional Services organization
• Tanium Certification
• Industry certification such as CISSP, CCSE, MCITP, RHCE, Linux+
• SANS or other Security certifications, such as GCIA, GCIH, GREM, GPEN, CEH

 

Experience:

• 10 years related work experience
