Description
The Technical Project Manager is a delivery and implementation leader and implementation team manager addressing business initiatives with technology and process solutions. The Technical PM serves at primarily tactical implementation levels, and is a subject matter expert in project management methodologies, functions and processes, including understanding critical success factors, customer experience measures and other key metrics of effectively managing project deliverables.
The Technical Project Manager is responsible to work cross-functionally at multiple levels within various client organizations to clarify, address and set in motion a solution path to resolve tactical business problems and address project workplan, workflow initiatives with both process and technology solutions across the business. The Technical PM builds and/or leads teams of technology, business and process stakeholders, and confirms alignment between process engineering and technology architects to ultimately deliver comprehensive solutions to the business which addresses the problem and/or initiative.
Duties and Responsibilities
The Project Manager acts as the primary point of contact for all assigned projects with responsibility for project deliverables, goals, and quality. Duties involve exercising project control to efficiently task and manage internal and external teams, contain scope and execute change requests as necessary, and identify and mitigate risks to the project. The PM is accountable to manage project scope and execute appropriate change requests in addition to managing project financials including revenue forecast, project margin, resource allocation and utilization. The Project Manager owns responsibility to manage relationships throughout the customer organization including all project team members, business contributors and stakeholders, and executive management. Responsible for supporting and adapting to the monthly governance process and reporting with client to ensure delivery objectives and expectations are being met and exceeded.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Senior level experience, 8+ years, as a Project Manager leading successful CRM, CPQ projects on salesforce platform, SaaS applications implementation experience is a big plus.
- Good understanding of the Quote to Cash process (CPQ, CLM, Order Management, Billing, and CRM)
- Communicate with clarity and impact, understanding how the message has been received
- Experience with Salesforce.com setup and user interface highly desired
- Establishes a systematic course of action for self or others to ensure accomplishment of specific objectives
- Committed to the customer and successfully consults and negotiates when necessary
- Sets priorities, goals, and timetables to manage time efficiently and achieve maximum productivity
- Create and foster key customer relationships – energized by delivering projects and value to customers
- Knows how to be a leader and how to follow a leader – when to speak and when to listen
- Be firm and decisive, willing to make unpopular decisions when necessary
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills with a high level of professionalism and command
- Seasoned professional consulting background desired – understanding consultative approach in leading clients.
- PMP or equivalent certification preferred, but not mandatory
- Certified Scrum Master (CSM) desired with practical hands on experience preferred
