Description:
The Cloud DevOps engineer will be responsible for automating the build and deployment of cloud applications to AWS. The role requires solid knowledge in two primary areas – building .NET and Java applications, and key AWS services that include Kubernetes (EKS), Lambda, CloudFormation, RDS and Dynamo DB.
The engineer will work closely with various development teams to understand and analyze the application components and develops full DevOps automation using the enterprise standard tools and best practices.
The engineer is required to have the necessary background to be able to setup automated builds for .NET and Java applications while independently resolving any compile, dependency or similar issues. On the deployment side, the engineer is required to have the necessary knowledge to be able to setup automated deployments for EKS, Lambda and other services using Code Pipeline, CloudFormation and other tools.
Requirements
1) Hands-on experience setting up CI/CD automation using TeamCity or Jenkins.
2) Hands-on experience creating CloudFormation for setting up AWS services that include Lambda EKS, RDS, DynamoDB, RDS, etc.
3) Strong troubleshooting skills in resolving compile and deployment issues related to building Java and .NET applications, packaging them as Lambda or Docker container and deploying to the AWS cloud environment.
4) Good knowledge of the AWS security groups, roles and role policies.
5) Experience writing Linux shell, PowerShell and/or Python scripts to automate tasks.
6) Working knowledge of monitoring and logging services in AWS.
