Greetings,
Job Title: Oracle Database Administrator
Location: Mason, OH
Duration: 12 months with possible extensions
Must be a H1B or EAD or TN
Must have 10 Years or IT Experience
Must be Local to OH
Description:
This position will focus on database administration, configurations, performance, stability, and capacity planning activities. This person will administer 24x7 production databases and support development activities. The candidate will also be looking for cost savings based on our current cost models. The candidate should have ten or more years of industry experience required in information systems and seven or more years of experience in database administration or related disciplines. This position is responsible for a full range of database development and support activities.
Primary duties may include, but are not limited to:
Providing administrative support
Troubleshooting database performance issues
Developing database designs based on business requirements
Reviewing database designs to ensure all technical and business requirements are met
Building database structures based on detailed design
Providing support during system implementation and production
Technical skills & abilities:
Strong working knowledge of Oracle 12c with RAC/Clusterware, DataGuard, OEM 12c/13c
Strong working knowledge of Partitioning, Compression and Security options of Oracle
Strong working knowledge of Unix
Experience with supporting databases on Exadata highly desired
Strong working knowledge of database installation, setup, creation, and maintenance processes
Strong technical knowledge of database and application tuning
Strong technical knowledge of Backup/Recovery, Disaster Recovery and High Availability techniques and implementations
Strong technical knowledge in writing shell scripts and stored procedures used in support of database administration
Experience administering Exadata storage, network and OS components a strong plus
Linux and network administration a plus
GoldenGate experience a plus
Oracle on AIX/POWER experience a plus
Experience supporting & administering databases in consolidated infrastructure a plus
