Details:
The Artificial Intelligence Engineer will be responsible for building big data pipelines using open source tools as well as enterprise frameworks to support natural language processing. This individual shall work closely with data scientists and SMEs to evolve artificial intelligence models from prototypes to production applications using well known design patterns and big data frameworks. He / she is also expected to contribute to building enablers for the data platform and open source projects which fit the strategic needs.
Key roles and responsibilities:
•Build high performance streaming and batch data pipelines that generate business ready datasets and insights to support existing use case scenarios
•Act as the SME to support data scientists and build scalable applications that incorporate AI models. Dive into existing SQL/spark/scala/java/python code wherever necessary to evolve existing prototypes into production grade applications
•Build high-performance algorithms, prototypes, predictive models and proof of concepts
•Create reusable software components (e.g. specialized Spark UDFs) and analytics applications
•Support architecture evolution of the enterprise data platform through implementation and launch of data preparation and data science capabilities
Qualifications and skills:
•6 years of software development experience: Java, Scala, Python with understanding of key functional programming principles
•3 years of experience training and running Natural Language AI applications
•Prior experience with big data technologies, preferably Spark with demonstrable understanding of big data concepts
•Prior experience with deploying complex data science solutions is a strong plus
•Strong understanding and use of databases: relational as well as NoSQL datastores
•Prior experience with data exploration, prototyping and visualization tools: e.g., Zeppelin, Jupyter
•Independent, self-starter, with demonstrated communication, collaboration and willing to learn passionately
Desired Qualifications
•Previous work or academic experience on natural language processing AI projects
•Previous work experience with deploying complex data science solutions
•Prior work or academic experience with data exploration, prototyping and visualization tools
Education: Bachelors, Masters or PhD in computer science or equivalent (EE, Linguistics, Applied Math)
