Sr. Linux Administrator
8-10 years of experience as Linux Engineer/Administrator ( must have)
In-depth knowledge of RHEL 6
Strong Linux system administration (RedHat) and troubleshooting
Skills.
Solid ability to troubleshoot a variety of performance issues (withcpu/mem/disk) and other problems.
Performance tuning in RedHat Linux
Good knowledge of basic Networking (TCP/UDP/DNS/Subnets/MTU etc)
Strong understanding of init scripts, creating new filesystems,proc and other sysadmin essentials.
Understanding of Raid Levels (Raid 1,5,1+0, 0+1)Monitoring of Linux servers using Nagios or any monitoring tool
Experience with system management tools, logical file systems etc.
Experience in Production Server Environment.
Experience in managing enterprise Linux environment with 1000’s ofphysical servers.
Demonstrate excellent communication skills including the abilityto effectively communicate with internal and external customers.
Big Data /Hadoop knowledge will be a big added advantage.
RedHat Satellite Server knowledge or any other system build tools.
Knowledge of configuration management tools like Puppet.
Experience on any disaster recovery (DR) process/procedures.Scripting:(Added Advantage)
Knowledge of BASH required
Prior experience writing bash scripts with 100’s lines of code.
BASH functions, loops, command line arguments
Usage of AWK, SED etc.
Certification in RedHat Linux,
