Program Manager – Insurance
Location: Atlanta GA/ Remote
Duration: 6 months
Insurance Industry – P&C, Underwriting. Process improvement experience needed
What you'll be doing:
Delivering projects that cement our resiliency to support growth of our applications
Managing multiple teams to deliver people, process, and technology change
Build strong partnership with our technology and business teams to ensure processes developed are embedded into BAU
Report regularly on the status of tasks, raise risks, manage issues, control the schedule and budget, and provide project management oversight for this essential program of work.
Working with our software and infrastructure vendors to ensure their solutions meet our resiliency needs.

The portfolio contains a mix of waterfall and Agile (Scrum/Kanban) deliveries with a strong preference for new activities to follow Agile principles.
This role will handle several delivery streams that may fall under either methodology as well as lead work to investigate new technologies or proof of concept work for new functionality.
This will involve management of internal and external delivery teams, external vendors, infrastructure team and 3rd party application teams to support the development and deployment of application change.
Requirements:
• 10 years of current experience in project management
• Needs to be an independent thinker and a key contributor in supporting the successful project delivery: capturing meeting minutes, following up on action items, reporting project status, and ownership of project documentation
• Ability to develop an extensive knowledge of the systems that support Direct and Partnerships to understand the impact of system changes
• Experience working in a matrix environment where influencing will be key
• Innate service focus and the ability to effectively interact with all levels of internal and external partners
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills – especially the ability to simplify complex ideas and situations while maintaining effectiveness and meaning
• Skilled communicator who can convey ideas concisely and appropriately to different audiences (Brevity and concision is an important skill)
• Encouraged by a fast paced ambitious environment where deadlines and budgets are crucial and quality matters most
• Ability to Identify problems and provide solutions as part of the project analysis work.
