Job Description
• Design and implement industry best ETL technologies to satisfy client requirements
• Design and develop optimal code to maintain exceptional performance in processing large volumes of data across diverse sources
• Designs, develops, and tests ETL solutions including automating data loading processes.
• Communicates ideas to both technical and non-technical people in all levels of the organization.
• Effectively communicates technical architecture details of INFORMATICA and other parts of the BI solution to others
• Identify and reuse of ETL components and services to avoid duplicative implementations
Academic/Experience/Competency
BA/BS in computer science or equivalent training.
• Strong understanding and experience in implementing BI solutions and data warehousing using Informatica is required
• Good understanding of Informatica 10.x BDM is required
• Full comprehension of SQL, cardinality, levels of granularity, normalized vs de-normalized, handling of slowly changing dimensions, auditing and optimization techniques and other such best practices is required.

• Data Warehousing – 3-5 year(s)
• Informatica – 5-7 year(s)
• DB2/SQL Server – 3-5 year(s)
• Unix Shell Scripting – 2-3 year(s)
Daily Tasks Performed
• Work with Data Architects to understand ETL requirements
• Review and validate ETL specs
• Design, Develop and Unit Test using Informatica
• Perform code reviews/peer reviews
• Document test results
• Support SIT/UAT activities
• Create scripts for automation and work with Operations to implement jobs
Wants
• Experience with Informatica PowerExchange
• Informatica certification
• Experience with Hive/Spark/Scala/HBase
• Experience with HDP is a Plus
• Experience with Informatica Cloud is a Plus
Unique Skill Sets Desired
Strong Informatica PowerCenter Development experience
Good Experience with Informatica BDM
Experience with Hadoop
Strong SQL Skills (DB2 and SQL Server)
Good understanding of Data Warehousing and BI concepts
Strong communication skills
