Client: State of Arkansas – DIS
The SQL DBA will be
responsible for data analysis and database management. The DBA will
also be responsible for maintenance, enhancement, designing of data
dictionaries, physical and logical database models, and performance tuning.
On-Site Support Only
The agency intends to submit for an
extension past 9/30/16.
No multt-layering. All candidates
should be direct to submitting vendor.
In addition, this person
will be also be responsible for developing and qualifying database release
management/deployment procedures and collaborating with the Software
Development, Quality Assurance, and Support teams.
Qualifications:
·
Bachelor’s
Degree in Computer Science or related technical field
·
Microsoft
SQL Server Database Administration experience (3+ years), managing multiple MS
SQL 2000,2005, 2008,2012 instances
·
Experience
in data modeling and design including strong knowledge of SQL (T-SQL & ANSI
SQL)
·
Thorough
knowledge of data backup/recovery/rollback
·
Hands-on
replication server knowledge (setup and troubleshooting)
·
SQL
Server 2000, 2005, 2008,2012 optimization, fine-tuning, and scalability
techniques
·
Data
security and strong knowledge of network architecture and topology
·
Large-scale
data migration experience (SQL Server 2000 - 2005)
·
DBA
certification (i.e. MCDBA or otherwise) a plus.
·
Experience/knowledge
of Data Warehousing concepts a plus
·
Experience
in a fast-paced web development environment a strong plus
·
Familiarity
with MySQL, UDB on LUW and PostgreSQL a plus.
