JOB DESCRIPTION:
General Purpose:
· Looking for a Salesforce/Force.com developer with Classic or Lightning components experience, and APEX coding.
· Responsible for design and building of simple to complex applications that integrate with Client’s Financial and HR Systems.
· This position will participate in the full application development lifecycle.
Essential Duties:
· Work collaboratively with technical staff, functional owners, business analysts, and project managers to implement application solutions in the Finance and HR administration systems for the University. Present a professional attitude toward work and the workplace. This may also include attendance and participation in local operating meeting with our Finance and HCM clients.
· Build and deliver custom applications that meet the expectations of stakeholders and intended end users, while hitting schedule timeline and budgetary targets.
· Combine business and technical knowledge to determine the most appropriate approach to meeting a business need.
· Design robust, scalable and secure features. Write clean, maintainable and efficient code.
· Mentor team members in getting up to speed with Salesforce/Force.com, APEX Development, and Lightning components. Share knowledge and experience, and partner with team members.
· Create necessary documentation and perform knowledge transfer of the work performed to Yale resources.
· Participate in project definition, planning, gathering of functional requirements, analysis, design, technology selection, coding, debugging, testing, documenting, and deployment of new applications.
· Recommend and create new guidelines, best practices, and standards relative to delivery, development, and support of the Force.com platform.
Education and Training:
· Bachelor's degree in Information Technology or related field and a minimum of five years’ experience in analysis, design and development of applications, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Skills and Abilities:
· Demonstrated ability with Salesforce/Force.com, Classic or Lightning; demonstrated proficiency with APEX and Visualforce.
· Proven experience configuring and developing in Salesforce.com and Force.com environments with focus on Visualforce, APEX, SOQL and Salesforce sites.
· Front end experience with HTML/DHTML, CSS, XML, AJAX and JavaScript
· Strong experience in implementing custom solutions and integrating with Third Party applications.
· Strong understanding of Object-Oriented Programming techniques and implementation strategies.
· Experience developing highly interactive applications.
· Experience with general Web architecture, such as browsers and middle tier.
· Familiarity with concepts of MVC, RESTful and SOAP.
· Excellent interpersonal skills, with the ability to work independently and/or as a member of a team, including the ability to work with people from all levels of an organization.
· Working knowledge of SDLC processes including requirements gathering, design, built, and test.
· Ability to learn and take on other technical skills outside of Salesforce as needed to support our clients. This may include (and not limited to) platforms such as Workday, Talend, webMethods, or web service development.
