Location: Madison, NJ
Length: 12+ Months plus

Zerto data center migration and disaster recovery software – MOST IMPORTANT

Job Description

·         Represents IT Engineering Services on global project teams through the implementation of Zerto technology for data center migration, cloud migration, and disaster recovery utilizing Zerto technology. 

·         This is an Architect \ Engineering position, not a systems administration role utilizing Zerto

Job Responsibilities:

·       Experience with Zerto for CO-LO to CO-LO migration, including automation of migrations using Zerto

·       Experience with Zerto for CO-LO to Cloud migration, including automation of migrations using Zerto

·       Zerto disaster recovery design and automation using this platform

·       Identify gaps and remediation options for technology platforms

·       Researches and evaluates new technologies as assigned by senior team members. Meets with vendors and manufacturer product demos and training. Assists with establishing criteria for evaluating solutions

·       Builds and maintains relationships with business and cross-functional IT groups. Meets with business and IT staff to learn and understand requirements. Proactively collaborates and seeks solutions with peers.

·       Implements existing IT infrastructure processes and provides feedback on new processes as required. Follows documented procedures to meet compliance and security requirements.

·       Supports operational activities such as level three system support, root cause analysis, systems validation, performance tuning and capacity management. Works with Operations staff to improve monitoring and alerting activities.

·       Contributes to the development of policies, standards and processes within the systems engineering function.


Qualifications:

·       10+ years’ experience with server engineering Windows Server and Linux

·       Experience working in large multi-site organization is required

·       Experience working in an engineering role in an environment of 1000+ servers is required

·       Experience as a Level 3 server engineer \ architecture experience is required

Required Technical Skills

·         Zerto data center migration and disaster recovery software – MOST IMPORTANT

  • Knowledge of Microsoft server and Linux operating systems
  • VMware ESX and Suite of products
  • Microsoft Azure experience
  • Understanding of Disaster Recovery planning and execution (Zerto experience required)
  • Data protection experience
  • Experience with designing and implementing Wintel Server technologies
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to write and update concise and logical technical documentation, including, but not limited to; diagrams, charts, specifications and design models
  • Ability to communicate at an executive level and articulate business value of technical solutions
  • Ability to work with team members, at all levels, decision makers, and stakeholders to define business requirements and systems goals, and to identify and resolve business systems issues
  • Function as a mentor to provide knowledge transfer to peers and IT staff
  • Ability to make strategic hardware and software recommendations

Minimum Experience Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field from an accredited university or college, and a minimum of ten (10) years of related experience as a system engineer
