Job Description

The Navigation Analyst has the skill set in evaluating cartographic information/ data to ensure that they satisfy Client Upstream business needs with respect to cartographic principles, accuracy and geographic coverage.

 

Job Responsibilities

•        Provide cartographic and spatial data problem solving and consulting services

•        Ongoing development and maintenance of cartographic and data management procedures for spatial data

•        Provide cartographic support for all of Geodetics and Cartography group

•        Assist in specialized mapmaking that requires composite plots with raster and vector data.

•        Provide ArcGIS support and services within client as needed

•        Provide datum transformations and coordinate conversions to spatial data

•        Maintain knowledge of cartographic, GIS and spatial data practices and trends

 

REQUIRED SKILLS:

 

Technical Skills:

·         Cartography

·         ArcGIS

·         Geography

 

Desired Skills or Experience:

·         Geoscience, GIS

·         Knowledgeable in using various software including ArcGIS.

·         Knowledgeable in writing scripts

·         Knowledgeable using computers, basic understanding of databases
