Position: Share point Administrator
Location: Madison WI
Duration: 6+ Months Contract
Only US Citizen or GC or H1B( Need copy for submission)
Description
Work with end-users and interface with Knowledge Management Core and Steering Teams to implement new SharePoint solutions (gathering requirements, translating requirements into specifications, and implementation). This includes coordination and facilitation with ETF Business Partners. The ideal candidate is strong technically but does not need a lot of direction to get things done.
Provide general end-user support including assistance with site designs and components, site troubleshooting, and any other user requests made by ETF SharePoint users. Provide general
SharePoint site administration services including leading SharePoint upgrade efforts (as needed) in conjunction with DOA/DET. Research and implement new Microsoft SharePoint features with the goal of cutting departmental costs and increasing end user productivity.
Identify and resolve system issues proactively. Resolve complex issues through hands-on technical solutions, self-research, peer groups, networks, or discussion forums.
Coordinate environment changes with DOA/DET (including installation of packages, solutions, and other updates). Work with DOA/DET to ensure the Microsoft SharePoint environment is configured in such a way so as to maximize internal and external ETF needs. Work with DOA/DET to ensure the Microsoft SharePoint environment is configured to minimize security breaches.
Create automated scripts to more quickly and accurately perform tasks associated with the monitoring and controlling of the Microsoft SharePoint environment. Work to solidify ETF Microsoft SharePoint standards and governance process. Participate in the SharePoint governance group.
Additionally this position will assist the IT Solutions Center and ETF Infrastructure Rehosting teams and potentially other areas of the organization such as Knowledge Management by creating technical and process documentation as needed.
