ServiceNow Technical Consultant – NO OPT
Primary Location – San Jose, CA

V-Soft Consulting is currently hiring for a ServiceNow Technical Consultant for our premier client in San Jose, CA. This is a 6+ month contract position in the IT services industry.
WHAT YOU’LL NEED:
Education and Experience »
- A Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or equivalent
- ServiceNow certifications are required
- 3 years' experience with the ServiceNow platform and CMDB is required
- 3 years’ experience in a similar role is required
- Strong technical and development experience in ServiceNow (on ITOM/ITSM side)
- Experience working in a fast-paced team environment to complete multiple projects simultaneously according to business and technical requirements
- Experience in at least one of the following is a plus APM, Service Portfolio, Discovery, Service Mapping and Event Management Module
- Experience in writing, business rules and ACLs in ServiceNow
- Experience working on ATF is a plus
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities »
- Knowledge of Basic Linux commands and Shell scripts
- Knowledge in SNMP MIBS and OID
- Knowledge in mid server setup, troubleshooting the discovery errors
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, multitasking and time management skills with consistent attention to detail
- Ability to build strong collaborative partnerships across functional lines and at all levels within organization and the business
- Excellent interpersonal skills
WHAT YOU’LL DO:
Job Responsibilities »
- Set up and modify mid-servers for new devices as needed
- Run Discovery over new subnets
- Work with ServiceNow for new devices to enable patterns/probes for them to be discovered
- Medium to high level customization for out of the box Discovery pattern
- Develop APIs in ServiceNow and be well-versed in JavaScript
