Position: AWS consultant with ETL

Location: Baltimore MD

Duration:  1 - 2 years

 

We need a Cloud data consultant who has proficiency in moving SSIS to AWS ETL (Glue, NiFi, Lambda)

Candidates need a solid data understanding – SSIS & ETL but need to have experience with AWS / glue / lambda.

It’s not just an SSIS developer but someone who can propose tools and has understanding on AWS tools.

 

Job Summary/Description:

Data Developer for an elite development team within the Equity Quant Front Office. The work entails building and supporting a series of critical tasks.

 

Responsibilities/Qualifications:

·         Proficiency in both complex SSIS and SQL Server infrastructure and correlated AWS ETL(Glue, NiFi, Lambda) and Non-SQL Server Databases(mySQL, EMR, Aurora, etc.) tools.

·         The primary work tasks will be to Migrate several flows from the latter to the former

·         Building and supporting data Pipelines in AWS technologies

·         Possible work in Sterling File Gateway, Service APIs, Spark, Python

·         Interact with Quants and Analysts to understand their workflows and requirements

·         Efficient Data Modeling Talent

 

Preference for:

·         Experience of front office software development with an Asset Management, Hedge fund or Investment Bank

·         Experience building containerized applications and deploying to public or private clouds, such as Amazon Web Services (AWS) or similar providers.
