Sr Automation tester - Tosca

Location: Detroit/ Charlotte NC

Duration: 6 months to 1 year

 Experience

Automation testing: 10 years

Automation Tools: TOSCA ,Selenium, TDD, Experience on cloud platforms AWS/ Azure

 

Primary responsibilities will be focused on supporting the client Dash platform. This role will be integral in all parts of the SDLC, including interfacing with product owners for user story clarification, backlog grooming, story sizing, sprint planning, task breakdown, design, development, and testing. Strong automation test engineering background with the ability to test manually to support collecting and analyzing data for software development evaluation and improvements, day-to-day tasks of testing and quality assurance processes will be considered. Successful candidate drives quality through continual improvement, relies on experience and judgement to accomplish goals, exhibits strong communication and interpersonal skills, works well under pressure and aggressive timelines, and thinks beyond the day-to-day activities to keep big-picture objectives in mind.

 

Job Responsibilities

Creating and maintaining automation scripts using Selenium QMetry framework

TOSCA and best practices to apply to functional and API automated testing

Understanding of DEVOPS and how to create and maintain automated scripts for CI/CD pipeline

Ability to assist development team in all aspects of software design and coding including write basic code, fix bugs and assist in all design-related tasks

Ability to multi-task between manual and automated testing

Develop test scenarios and test scripts based on user stories

Ability to design and write test automation scripts for UI and API testing in Web based environment

Perform System, Regression, Functional, End-to-End and UAT testing

Conduct browser compatibility and mobile testing

Conduct functional, ad-hoc and exploratory testing across multiple browsers and Operating Systems

Analyze and document defects and work with development team for defect resolution

Investigate problems when automation test script failures occur

Assists on improving performance and ensuring consistency in assessing compliance to document processes by developing standardized test plans and consistent testing automation.

Responsible for developing and executing formal test plans to ensure the delivery of quality software applications

Qualifications

 

Bachelor's degree in Information Technology or related field preferred

5+ years of experience in a similar role preferred

5+ years of experience in automation scripting

Knowledge of the software testing discipline and its integration with software development life cycle required

Ability to develop effective test and quality assurance plans for software testing

Ability to develop and execute effective plans for quality management, review, and audit

Ability to track and develop metrics for quality assurance and testing
