Location: Foster City, CA

Duration :6 months.

Must Have - SharePoint Online migration, SPFx framework

 

Job Description:

 

The architect will be a technical resource for ongoing migration, development and operational activities on SharePoint Online.

The architect will be Subject Matter Expert for SharePoint Online migration, Office 365, SharePoint Online projects using SharePoint migration tools, Power platform, SPFx framework and Azure.

 

Responsibilities:

• Assess current site collection and provide detailed migration plan that should include Communication planning, housekeeping and validation activities during and after migrations.
• Execute migration activities using Metalogix or similar tool along with Microsoft migration tool.
• Resolve outstanding issues post migrations and provide report on completed and in-progress migrations
• Develop and implement a variety of SharePoint Online centric solutions such as Web Content Management, Collaboration, Business Process Management and Document Management.
• Compare various architectural options based on feasibility and impact and propose actionable plans to implement best-in-class solution architecture identifying functional as well as non-functional parameters.
• Provide detailed architecture analysis, design and direction on new development activities.
• Customize and maintain existing custom site solutions or develop new site solutions using SPFx framework, templates, lists, columns, document libraries, wikis, discussion boards, calendars, web part, workflows, forms, etc.
• Perform research to determine SPFx framework’s current and future capabilities related to integrating with O365 and migrating from an On-Premise platform to a cloud environment.
• Maintain version control in GitHub and implement CI/CD using Azure DevOps.
• Create new apps using PowerApps and Microsoft Flow.
• Develop reports/dashboards and integrate with SharePoint pages.
• Generate platform usage statistics and reports using analytics.
• Use SharePoint Designer to maintain current forms and workflows.
• Understand and implement SharePoint site and group site permissions.

Requirements:

• 10+ years of experience working on SharePoint platform
• 7+ years of developing and working with SharePoint 2013/2016/Online, Office 365, SharePoint Framework SPFx.
• Prior experience with SharePoint Online migrations is a must.
• Strong experience with SharePoint migration tools in configuring and executing migration jobs, identifying migration errors and remediating issues.
• Strong SharePoint Online experience in understanding SharePoint architecture, site structures and templates, security and permissions and out of the box configurations and features.
• Solid understanding of Node.js, npm, Yeoman/Visual Studio, TypeScript, Gulp, Webpack.
• 5+ years of experience in using React or Angular and Typescript.
• Experience using HTML, JavaScript, CSS, PowerShell and working with Office 365 features and SharePoint Online.

• Microsoft Teams, Power BI, Microsoft SharePoint and O365 support experience is required.
• 5+ years in SharePoint development using both full-trust and client-side code (REST, JSOM, CSOM).
• Proficient in PowerShell.
• Experience in GitHub and Azure Dev Ops.
• Visual Studio/.NET development skills are a plus.
• Bachelor's Degree in Computers Science or related field.
• Nice to Have: Desired Microsoft Certifications: MCM, MCA, MCSM or equivalent.
