Teradata Datawarehouse

Minneapolis, MN Remote

Technical/Functional Skills

Teradata certified professional.o-  

Experience in performing capacity planning, space allocation.of- 

Roles, profiles & access rights management.

Compression analysis and implementation using different compression methods (MVC, ALC and BLC). 

 Hands on experience in performance tuning, including collecting statistics, analyzing explains, PI, UPI, NOPI, USI, NUSI, FTS & determining which tables needed statistics.o

Experience in planning and implementation of Backup and Archiving Activities using different tools TDM, ARC and DSA.

  Hands on experience on DSA operations.

  Query tuning w.r.t Teradata Query Optimization techniques.

  Business Views with complex queries based on the Business Requirements.

Hands-on experience in developing BTEQ jobs and Load Utility Jobs.

Table design and index selection (primary, secondary and PPI), analysis, implementation and maintenance.

Configure the PDCR and Understand DBQL, PDCR process.

Monitor the Teradata system via Resource Monitoring using Database Query Log (DBQL), resusage tables and Access Logging, Query logging

Teradata database utility’s (awtmon, schmon, ferret, filer, checktable, Showlocks, ampload, rcvmanger, qrysessn, updatespace, vprocmanager, gtwglobal, rebuild).

Experience in monitoring the system Hardware’s  (Drives, Disk arrays/Storage Arrays ,Controllers and other components) through the SWS node and upgrading CIMIC ,Drive Firmware’s, Controller Firmware’s other required software patches.
