Sr. Full-Stack Engineers at Fidelity Investments in Durham NC.

 

We are looking for highly skilled and analytical Software Engineer to come in and work on an emerging technology product within out WI organization.  This candidate will specifically be working on cutting edge Student Loan software that is a major focus for our team.  This person must be highly Agile and have the ability to impact the development on multiple fronts.

Responsibilities:

  • Leading the definition of detailed solution design
  • Ready to do Development and Support
  • Building and supporting development environment while adopting industry best practices and tools
  • Creating working prototypes and proof of concepts for applications leveraging new concepts and technologies
  • Leading coordination and delivery of technical components across internal/external technical teams.
  • Working closely with business partners and management team in evaluating current systems and making decisions on future development.
  • Participating in development of long-range planning for new projects and facilities.

Must Have Experience:

  • 7+ Years of Front-End Development experience.  Must have at least 2 years of Angular 2/4 development experience.  Must have hands on from scratch Angular development. (Candidates with Angular.JS will NOT be a fit)
  • 4-5 Years of professional Jave EE Development experience using Spring and specifically Spring Boot
  • Nice to have Cloud experience within AWS such as S3, EC2, and Lambda
  • experience with WebServices development and experience developing MicroServices
  • Strong Agile knowledge is required.

 

 

Sr. UI Engineer

We are looking for a Front End Developer for our client Fidelity Investments. This position is located in Durham, NC

As a senior engineer on the team, your primary role will be building, testing and engineering web applications using modern technologies like angular, nodejs, and REST APIs. You will be expected to quickly gain understanding of all the components of our web applications and will work with the team to deliver best in class solutions.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist in coordinating multiple development work streams through integration and ensure architecture is scalable and extensible. 
  • Assist in identification, isolation, resolution, and communication of problems within the production and nonproduction environment and perform troubleshooting.
  • Perform code reviews, unit testing, and integration testing using Open Source frameworks.
  • Provide mentorship to junior team members.
  • Contribute to continuous process improvement initiatives.
  • Primarily responsible for designing, developing and testing Web/Mobile applications with primary skill of HTML, CSS or JavaScript, Angular, TypeScript with emphasis on usability, consistency and aesthetics.

Required Expertise: 

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or Engineering
  • 5+ years of development experience in HTML5, CSS/SASS, Backbone, Angular 4 & 5, NodeJS, Jasmine, Protractor.
  • 3+ years of Responsive & Progressive Modern Web application development. 
  • Make significant contributions to our technology platform Design patterns, UML
  • Test Driven Development, Junit, Jasmine, Karma, Protractor
  • IDE’s Spring Tool Suite, and Eclipse, within a UNIX and Windows environment.
  • Application build, deploy using Continuous Integration/ Deployment (CI/CD) tools -- Jenkins, Maven, uDeploy, etc.
  • Writing SQL queries and debugging stored procedures within an Oracle environment.

The Purpose of Your Role

 

This role will be the tech lead of a dev ops team. As a senior developer you will interact with Architecture and Management to translate product requirements to technology solutions. You will serve as mentor for junior engineers within the team.  You will be responsible for design and implementation of technical solutions to achieve business goals for the product offering.

 

The Skills You Bring

  • 10+ years of experience in Java application development using Spring.
  • 5+ years of experience in database design and development using Oracle / PostgreSQL / MariaDB.
  • 3+ years of UI development using Angular, jQuery, JavaScript, HTML 5
  • Strong knowledge in Java, J2EE, Spring MVC, Spring Core, Angular, Tableau and SQL (Oracle and PostgreSQL).
  • Knowledge of web application development using JSP, HTML, CSS, JQuery, Angular
  • Deep understanding of API design, including versioning, API documentation (Swagger)
  • Strong knowledge of developing highly scalable distributed systems using Open source technologies.
  • Strong knowledge of E2E ALM tools like JIRA, gitStash, FishEye, Crucible, Maven, Jenkins, uDeploy.
  • Working knowledge of public/private cloud capabilities including compute, storage and scaling will be desirable.
