Build Release Engineer/ Azure Devops

Location: Hartford CT/ Hybrid

Duration: 6 months

 Plan each release window and cycle for a given application or set of applications while collaborating with Delivery Teams, DevOps, QA, and Platform Engineering to ensure that all of application ’s responsibilities for a release are met prior to release of updates.

Work extensively on Microsoft Azure Platform supporting applications as per their needs using Boards, Repos and Pipelines.

Conduct release readiness reviews, retrospective calls and evaluate cycles across the Portfolio, managing and resolving issues that affect scope, schedule and quality. Measure and monitor progress for the same to ensure application releases are delivered on time and within budget.

Work on Issue tracking and ticketing tools like Service Now, Azure DevOps, Jira while performing risk management and resolution of issues impacting scope, schedule, and quality.

Manage the impact that a given change or bundle of changes entering the production environment has on associated stakeholders thereby managing and mitigating Risk.

 

Technical Skills

Well versed in DevOps concepts (CI/CD, Pipelines, Source control etc.).

Advanced knowledge of software development lifecycle.

Experience leveraging issue tracking software such as Service Now and JIRA.

Advanced knowledge of Cloud computing tools and technologies.

Experience and knowledge of ITIL concepts and best practices in the IT service Industry.

Hands-on experience and ability to work on Microsoft Azure suite.

Working knowledge on AGILE and SCRUM concepts and its usage on SDLC tools like Azure DevOps and JIRA to create user stories, dashboards, work items, running queries etc.
