Network Administrator

San Diego, CA or Los Angeles, CA

ASAP to 3/13/2020

$25/hr hr

• Work with customers on data center transformation activities to confirm (and document accordingly) existing Voice and Data Networks, LAN/WAN Topologies, develop Functional Specifications.

• Independently manage all aspects related to Network Integration projects.

• Respond to networking tickets and support requests.

• Work with vendors and contractors to define detailed technical requirements

• Participate in Application owner and Business User interviews to identify system functions and network related dependencies

• Execute Discovery activities to fully identify and document the existing voice and data networks

• Work with the Steady State Network team to develop and implement the appropriate solution for successful transformation

• Consult on complex business issues and design considerations

• Responsible for the identification and documentation of system requirements to enable the Technical Team to deliver the appropriate solution for successful transformation

• Participate in the development and execution of the user acceptance test plans, as well as schedule testing

• Create new documentation and processes as needed to help refine, optimize, and/or to establish network functions and processes

 

Requirements Education and Experience:

• Bachelor’s Degree in an Information Technology Discipline and 2 or more year’s professional experience

• In depth expertise with Cisco routers and switches

• Cisco Certification (CCNA) Required

• Experience with network monitoring and troubleshooting tools

• In depth experience with distributed networks

• In depth experience with Call Center voice networks

• Significant Knowledge of web content load balancers, SSL certs, and DNS

• Experience with copper and fiber cabling systems

 

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

• Must have strong ‘hands-on’ experience with LAN/WAN administration

• Must have proven experience with deep technical aspects of enterprise network integration projects

• Must have experience with the design and implementation of an Enterprise Network Architecture.

• Must have proven experience with various LAN/WAN designs

• Strong understanding of MPLS networks

• Must have strong communication skills, written and verbal

• Experience interviewing end users to gather requirements

• Knowledge of the SDLC

• Experience building reports

• Expert-level proficiency in the following:

o Network concepts including LAN/WAN architectures

o Microsoft Visio

o Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, Access, Excel)

o Microsoft Project

• Ability to demonstrate professionalism in all internal and external interactions

• Ability to analyze situations and challenges in a systematic, logical approach

• Ability to analyze data points extracted by automated and manual discovery processes
