Need a very strong Sr. Oracle DBA - must be very technical. 2 phone interviews and an on-site interview. The position will be on site in Charlotte, NC, but can either interview in Charlotte, NC or San Francisco, CA.

2. 10 + years working with Oracle DBs ' has done migrations on his/her own ' has worked with Oracle opening up SRs ' experience with Replication and backups (RAC, STREAMS, Golden Gate) ' experience with various flavors of Oracle and keeps himself/herself up-to-date with important changes between the Oracle versions
3. Strong troubleshooting skills ' practical approach ' can think logically ' work as an individual ' work as a team player
TITLE: Oracle DBA (2 openings)
LOCATION: Charlotte, NC
DURATION: 6+ months contract (possibility of extension up to 18 months)
Required:
· 4 year degree in IT or related field and 12+ years related experience or equivalent combination of education and experience
· Database Administration on Oracle 10g and above, RAC, Streams, Dataguard & RMAN
· Advanced knowledge of DataGuard
· Hands on experience on oracle streams and Golden Gate.
· Intense production database experience, including on-call
· 7+ years as an Oracle DBA, not a database developer
· Moderate shell scripting savvy
· Performance tuning on large (5+TB) databases
· Sufficient architectural knowledge to prevent unsustainable platforms from reaching production
· 2+ years RAC/ASM experience
· RDBMS tuning experience (Oracle 10g or 11g).
· Strong knowledge of unix
· Hands on experience in writing shell scripts
· Problem debugging skills and interacting with Oracle support
· Excellent, clear communication
· Ability to distill complex problems into discrete action items
· High tolerance for unusual work hours
· Ability to work well with distributed resources
· Follow-through
· Attention to detail
· Serious multitasking & organizational skills
· Ability to not make the same mistake twice
