Job Description:         The worker is required to assist the DFPS Finance Department as a project manager and functional lead in the HHSAS Financials Systems upgraded to CAPPS 9.2.  The project is currently underway with an implementation date of 09/01/2017.  The worker will be responsible for assisting DFPS with planning, scheduling, functional requirements, design, and testing of conversions, interfaces, and workflow to ensure successful conversion.  The functions that this worker will oversee as project manager are critical to DFPS financial operations and ensuring providers are paid timely.  This worker will also perform some of the project tasks.

• Candidates must be available for face-to-face interviews.

Requirements            Minimum Skills Requirement in years

Years   Skills/Experience

8          Experience and working knowledge of People Soft Financials

8          Experience in process or systems work on at least two of the following: general ledger, purchasing, accounts payable, billing/accounts receivable, asset management, contract accounting, or budget planning.

8          Performing various business analyst and technical lead roles

8          Experience as project manager/project lead

6          Experience completing functional requirements tasks.

6          Experience developing business and technical requirements.

6          Experience developing and documenting process workflows

Strong Understanding of Texas state government financial processes and policies

Strong Communication skills; written and oral

 

Preferred skill requirements in years

Years   Skills/Experience

5          Experience supporting ERP financial modules in a production environment

Strong Understanding of batch processes

Strong Understanding of state government data reporting.
