Java Developer – ONLY GC/USC/H1B – NO OPT – PREFER LOCALS
Madison, WI
6 Months contract
Looking for strong and experienced contract Java Developers that can work independently or on a team, and be accountable and productive. This individual will start immediately and work on our Network Application Web-Based Projects.
Specific Responsibilities:
- Candidate will be developing new Java/J2EE web and web service applications that run on Wildfly 10.1 application servers.
Required Qualifications - Technical:
- Java 8/JEE 7
- JAX-WS
- Strong familiarity with core java libraries including Apache Commons and Google Guava
- Spring Framework
- GitHub
- Proficiency in all phases of testing
- Solid experience with full-lifecycle application development
- Issue tracking
- Dependency management
- Version control
- Quality metrics
Desired Qualifications - Technical:
- Java 5/JEE 5
- JBOSS 5.1
- Code Documentation skills.
- Firm grasp of multi-threading techniques
- SQL
- Subversion
- Maven
- Working knowledge of basic Linux/UNIX commands
Qualifications Non-Technical:
- Ability to learn and adapt to a fast paced changing, and challenging environment
- Good project and time management skills.
- Excellent communication skills both written and verbal.
- Ability to take direction and to help other team members be successful
- Candidates should be able to demonstrate the ability to work under pressure when necessary, especially when recovering from system failure or strict timelines. As well as being a self-motivated, self-directed Team Player; able to work in a fast paced Software development environment.
