Position summary:

Job Summary:

Scope of work that they will be supporting.

•            Maintaining SQL server 2016 and 2019 Always on Cluster and standalone servers.

•            Monitoring Replication performance and maintaining replication on Production servers and lower environments.

•            Creating task scheduler jobs and monitoring logs of production jobs.

•            Working on performing Database Integrity Checks, Database Maintenance plans, update Database Statistics and perform Re-indexing, Rebuilding the indexes, online indexing at regular intervals for better performance.

•            Monitoring Redgate alerts and resolve if there are any blockings, server waits or long running queries.

•            Monitor windows cluster logs and identify if there are any issues.

•            Working on ServiceNow tickets to resolve user access issues or data copy requests from one environment to another through Red Gate Schema compare and Data compare tools.

•            Maintaining Security on database servers through SECURE.

•            Production deployments support after business hours.

•            Resolve any performance slowness issues in production and stage environments.

•            Create and maintain reports on performance and growth of databases in production

•            Set up alerts and notifications if there are any login failures and if there are any replication job failures.

•            Maintain indexes and resolve slowness issues.

Required Skills:

1) Core skill sets Hiring Manager is looking for:

•            Microsoft certified SQL Server consultant with experience in MS SQL Server 2019/2017/2014/2012

2)  Detail level of technologies:

•            Extensive experience in managing both standalone and Replication, clustered and Always on Environment.

•            Experience in upgrading SQL Server databases SQL 2012, 2014, 2016 to 2019 and setting up failover cluster.

•            Expertise in core DBA (Database Administrator) tasks like Installation, Maintenance, Configuration, Backup & Restore, DR, Database Security and Database designing.

•            Installing and Configuring SSRS (SQL Server Reporting Services) in SQL Server 2016 and 2019.

•            Expert level experience on Data Center Migrations and Server Consolidation.

•            Proven experience in maintenance of SQL Server in a VLDB environment (Database’s size1.5 to 2TB) &experience in troubleshooting and resolving problems.

•            Extensive experience in managing MS SQL Server on Windows and 2008, 2016 Servers.

•            Must have experience in using DMVs, DMFs monitoring, and troubleshooting performance issues.

•            Working experience with tools like SQL Profiler, Windows Permanence and Redagate for Monitoring and Tuning MS SQL Server Performance

•            Experience in performing Database Integrity Checks, Database Maintenance plans, update Database Statistics and perform Re-indexing, Rebuilding the indexes, online indexing at regular intervals for better performance.

•            Extensive Experience in RED Gate Installation and configuration on Prod servers
