Job Description:
The Quality Assurance Analyst III will perform quality assurance and regression testing of our core/critical applications. The Analyst serves as subject matter expert for quality assurance testing, regression testing, tools and methods of QA testing. The analyst will have detailed understanding of application functionality, user use cases, and a good understanding of system design and structures. Uses IT knowledge and PC software application skills to create automated and manual test scripts, conducts functional and regression level 2B testing and documents results, and production maintenance and issue handling. Serves as a subject matter expert for quality assurance testing using industry standard practices.
Duties and Responsibilities
· Serve as team lead for QA testing of core and non-core systems and system enhancements to ensure products perform in an expected manner.
· Work closely with system analysts and engineers to ensure requirements are implemented as required and in line with standard practices.
· Gain detailed knowledge of application functionality, system design and architecture, including ability to write, read and execute SQL scripts.
· Use database tools to validate test results and set up test data.
· Engage with engagement center and corporate departments for testing of system enhancements, upgrades, and/or maintenance requests.
· Serve as a point of contact for production issues, conduct research and execute maintenance requests for the dedicated Military OneSource applications suite.
· Participate in development of quality assurance testing standards and protocols.
· Oversee creation of manual and automated quality assurance testing templates and scripts.
· Adhere to project plans, timelines and provide support to the project manager.
Education:
· Minimum of an Associate Degree in Computer Science or Management Information Systems, supplemented by 6-8 years’ experience in systems testing, and/or analytical role or equivalent work experience. Bachelor's Degree or Masters’ Degree is preferred.
Licenses:
· ITIL v3 Foundations Certification preferred ( Not mandatory)
Years and Type of Relevant Work Experience:
· Five+ (5) years’ experience with Quality Assurance, systems regression testing and/or analytical role or equivalent work experience (Health Care industry knowledge preferred.) Experience with application development and support or experience in an analytical role including project management responsibilities.
