Description & experience:

·   Experienced Splunk Monitoring Analyst to perform monitoring, research, assessment and analysis on notable security events for PCI compliance 

·   Prior experience using the Splunk PCI application is required

·   Create and follow pre-defined procedures to investigate security events

·   Work with necessary personnel to resolve and escalate security events to closure

·   Participate in escalation to Security Operations Team

·   Participate and assist with implementing new monitoring functionality

·   Maintain and report on KPIs

·   Provide weekly, monthly reporting metrics

·   Participate in development of process workflows and SLA requirements

·   Prior experience as a Security Administrator, system administrator

·   Prior experience with security technologies (network solutions, firewalls, routers, servers, workstations, databases, IDS/IPS, cloud solutions, endpoint, and DLP)

·   Experience with performing root cause analysis and incident response

·   Background in PCI Compliance requirements, OWASP, and NIST

·   Must be able to assume ownership for event investigation, root cause analysis and closure

·   Must be able to multitask and prioritize
