Position summary:

The ideal candidate will be responsible for organizing technical projects and ensuring that all members of the operating team work efficiently. You should have an aptitude for thinking outside the box and enjoy critical thinking, organization, and overall team management.

 

Key Responsibilities but are not limited to:

• Agile Team Guidance and Coordination

o Assisting the Agile Team in the delivery of user stories, bugs, and tasks in the Sprint/Iterations to drive the delivery of incremental work for the Enterprise/ Business Stakeholders and Product Management Teams.

o Manage Kanban or Scrum boards and assist the Agile team in presenting the status of the Sprints to the Product Owner.

o Ensure that the work committed to in each Sprint/Iteration is updated by the Agile Team in Jira.

o Assist the Agile Team where necessary in creating Issue Types in Jira.

o Performing quality control on the Sprint/Iterations from the Agile Team to maintain the standards expected within the Agile framework.

o Host Agile ceremonies for the Agile Team (i.e., Stand Up, Grooming, Retrospective)

o Adjusting schedules and targets on the project as needed based on business leadership and team decision-making.

o Coach and motivate Agile Team members involved in the project to complete tasks within the Sprint/Iteration.

o Assist in removing Agile Team impediments/blockers within the Sprint/Iteration.

o Conduct knowledge transfer to operations team regarding the basics of the Agile ways of working to ensure that the project is properly transitioned, where applicable.

• Writing and Communication

o Communicate status, issues, and risks to Product Owners, Executive level stakeholders.

o Communicate regularly with to Product Owner(s) to the Agile team on expected outcomes and any risks or deviations encountered.

 

Job Qualifications:

• 4-year degree (Computer Science, Information Systems, or related functional field) or other specific discipline with a specialization in Management Information System

• Advanced degree preferred

• 6+ years of project management experience

• 6+ years of experience leading projects in enterprise infrastructure.

• Enterprise rollout experience at large scale, retail related a plus.

• PMP Certification preferred or equivalent work experience

• Agile Scrum, Kanban, SAFe training / certification

• Working knowledge of Client-Server, Windows 2008 through 2019, Windows Server, Active Directory, Printing, Client Management, VMs, and Mobile Device Management.

• Knowledge of networks (LAN and WAN), DNS, TCIP/IP, and other networking concepts

• Experience with Cloud services and technologies

• Strong proficiency using MS Office Suite, including MS Visio, and MS Project

• Strong proficiency with Agile and can drive delivery through scrums and sprints

General Skills / Experiences:

• Project management and leadership skills for managing projects and the teams involved with them

• Solid executive presence

• Ability to set and meet deadlines

• Strong written and verbal communication skills to coordinate with team members and management and explain technical issues

• Organization and time management skills to keep projects on track and within budget

• Excellent resource planning, task scheduling, cost and risk management skills

• Proven leadership skills and excellent communication, interpersonal and negotiation skills

• Outstanding working knowledge of change management principles and performance evaluation processes

• Analytical and problem-solving skills to handle any issues that occur during project completion

• Ability to make important decisions under pressure

• Ability to delegate effectively, friendly demeanor, and approachable regarding project issues

• Build trust of the Agile team by being transparent and professional
